ABOUT US

Cavite Bible Baptist Church & Schools is a Bible believing Baptist organization located in Cavite City in the Philippines. We are lead by Rev. Arnold Arellano, and supported by his highly skilled administration and teaching staff.

In 1958, a missionary couple, Rev. and Mrs. Bill Anderson came to Cavite City and started a mission using their very own home at Certeza Court, Caridad, Cavite City as a place for worship.

This couples' love for the mission work inspired them to conceptualize a Baptist Church in cavite City. Rev. Anderson decided to rent a building along Lopez Jana Street corner Rivero Street, San Roque, Cavite City which was formerly the Cosmopolitan College to accommodate more people thirsting for more biblical understanding and fellowship with the Lord.

It was on July 17, 1960 that Cavite Bible Baptist Church (CBBC) was organized with then Governor Montano of Cavite and Mayor Fidel Dones of Cavite City a guests of honour.
In 1961, through the able leadership of Rev. Anderson a property was purchased and a building constructed that became the haven for Bible believing Christins. The church was named Cavite Bible Baptist Church and Schools.

Through the church's different ministries, more and more Cavitenos came to know our Saviour, Jesus Christ. In fact, only a few years after the church's establishment, it had already produced two missionaries in the person of Bro. Fred London and Bro. Ben Caachay. The then Associate Pastor, bro. Rene London is now a full-fledged Pastor of a Baptist Church in Sapang Palay, San Jose Del Monte, Bulacan.

For twelve years, Rev. Bill Anderson with wife Mrs. Donna Anderson stood as the leader of CBBC.

In 1972, another gret man of God, a German-American preacher named Rev. Delbert Hooge came to take over as the Anderson Family had to leave for the UnitedStates due to some health problems. Rev. Hooge and his wife Mrs. Lora Lee Woosely Hooge successfully led the church for sixteen years.

In the latter part of 1985, the CBBC building was destroyed by a fire due to electrical wiring. But God had apparently turned this calamity into a dynamic blessing. People, who truly love God, became the channel of blessings for CBBC, as we did not wait too long for financial support that began flooding in from almost everywhere.

God's wonderful blessing to Cavite Bible Baptist Church was truly manifested with the completion of the new church auditorium.
Under Rev. hooge, a filipino preacher, Rev. Dioscoro Mutya become an Associate Pastor. Two American missionaries also became significant parts of the ministry: amely Rev. Paul Byars and Rev. Roger Riley.

The Lord later called Rev. Mutya to Molino, Bacoor Cavite. Rev. Riley, from being missionry worker, is not involved in helping churches in Tracts and Bible distribution. rev. Paul Byars, on the other hand, is now helping the pastor of Tanza Bible Baptist Church.

It was in 1988 when Rev. Hooge went home to the U.S. for a furlough and Rev. Arnold Arellano took over the leadership formally in that same year. When Rev. Hooge came back, God sent him to Alabng, Muntinlupa, Metro Manila, where he still serves now.

He also became the Executive Director of Accelerated Christian Education (ACE).

When Rev. Arnold D. Arellano took over the helm in 1988, our church was already experiencing difficulties and was being confronted with so many problems, way beyond perhaps the capacity of each one of us to handle.

Financial obligations accumulated from the reconstruction and completion of not only our church building but the whole facility to name a few. Thank God, the Lord provided us with an excellent administrator who worked out the completion of our property, such as the repair of the ceiling of our auditorium, marble flooring on the first floor of the auditorium. Thus, in a short time, our church was in tip top shape again.

Hence, in 1994 the PHP 2.5Million Cavite Bible Baptist Church Academy Building was inaugurated. The ribbon cutting ceremony was graced no less than a former NBI Director and then Govenor of Cavite, Hon. Epimaco Velasco, former Cavite Govenor Hon. Lino Bocalan and our very own City Mayor, Mayor Tim Encarnicion.

In more recent times, Rev. Arellano had a vision of a building, and through the dedication and commitment of faculty, members and students, and by the grace of God, a new building for the Academy was officially opened on the 16th of July 2011.
